Some Success Stories from Lower Moss Wood

Iddly Tiddly Widdly Squiddly Pie. Was absolutely tiny when we got him and another pie from Lower Moss Wood. Molly sorted out his bumblefoot, but he still had balance issues leading to him being hospitalised with you overnight last week after bumping his head falling from the top perch of the aviary. He’s still indoors in a parrot cage with the top perch removed. Eating and getting about very well now and happy enough to have several baths and to spend a lot of the day singing noisily from the dining room! From Lower Moss Wood. Once escaped in the Cheshire Pet surgery and photographed apparently trying to amend his own patient records! Needed a broken leg splinting and while the leg did not fully recover, it set in a position that meant the crow could use it to stand on and he was released back to Macclesfield. He flew straight off, accompanied by lots of cawing from his friends in the area!
Dylan: baby rook found at the side of the road not far from his nest which had fallen from a tree. Was prescribed antibiotics by Molly to sort out a nasty cold. Dylan grew very quickly bigger and stronger and went to a friend’s in Lincolnshire to “finishing school” with some other rooklings and was released in the summer of 2009.
